M.A in Christianity from University of Mysore. PhD in Christianity from University of Mysore . Diploma in Holistic Counselor Training & Management from Montfort College Bangalore. Served as Novice Mistress, of the Institute from 1993 to 1999 and was elected as Councillor for Formation, in 2000-2006. Appointed as Junior Mistress, 2006-2012. Sr. Vinaya was born on 20th May 1972 in Iritty, in the Archdiocese Thalasseri, Kerala. She joined the Institute of the Carmelite Sister of St. Teresa in the year 1991 and made her first profession in the year 1995. She was graduated from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. After obtaining the diploma in formative spirituality and counselling, she served as assistant novice mistress. Later she pursued her post-graduation in Christianity in Madras University Tamil Nadu. After her post graduation, she served as novice mistress. Having obtained her graduation in theology from Vidya Jyothi College Delhi, she did her licentiate in Canon law from St. Peter’s Pontifical Institute Bangalore. At present, she is serving as the secretary general.

Sr. Carmela joined the Institute of the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa in the year 1979 and made her first profession in the year 1982. Having served the poor people of India for eight years, she was called to spread the Good news among the poor people in Argentina as a missionary from 1990 to 2011. From 2012 till date she is serving as the General Bursar of the Institute of the Carmelite Sisters of St.Teresa.
